One of Montenegro's underrated pleasures is that a lake morning and a sea afternoon are genuinely possible. Here are the beaches I actually send guests to.
Murići (the lake)
Warm, quiet, drivable. See the dedicated Murići guide.
Bar & Sutomore
The nearest sea beaches — 30 minutes from Virpazar. Sutomore is sandy and family-friendly, Bar has quieter pebble coves south of town.
Ulcinj — the sand
Long Beach (Velika Plaža) is Montenegro's rare wide sand beach — 12 km. Best in June and September; hot and busy in August.

Budva Riviera
Chic, developed, plenty of umbrella loungers. Nicest coves are away from the town itself — Pržno and Kamenovo.
How to combine
Skadar morning boat → drive to Bar → late lunch at Stari Bar → swim in the afternoon → back to Virpazar for sunset. It's a spectacular day if you time it.
