Montenegro in 3 Days — a Short but Serious Itinerary

Three days is honestly the minimum I'd recommend for Montenegro if Skadar is on the list. Here is the version that actually works — no rushing, no filler, one signature experience per day.
Day 1 — Kotor
Fly into Tivat. Drive to Kotor (25 min). Walk the old town, climb the fortress in the late afternoon, dinner in the walls.
Day 2 — Skadar Lake
Drive early via Cetinje and Rijeka Crnojevića to Virpazar (2h with a coffee stop). Full private boat tour, 4 hours, covering hidden bays and one monastery. Late lunch at Konoba Badanj. Drive back to the coast or sleep in Virpazar.
Day 3 — Budva & coast
Budva old town in the morning, Sveti Stefan viewpoint, beach afternoon. Drive to airport.

How to make it work
Rent a car. Book the Skadar boat tour in advance. Sleep two nights in Kotor or Budva plus one in Virpazar — or all three on the coast if you'd rather drive both ways.
