Parking in Virpazar — the Definitive Guide (and Why It Matters)
5 min read · Updated May 2026
I've watched more than one guest's morning ruined by 45 minutes of parking circles in July. Virpazar is tiny and beloved, which is a bad combination. Here is how to skip the pain entirely.
The public lot
One small paid lot near the main square. Fills by 10am from June to September. Attendants charge a modest fee. Fine in shoulder season, unusable at peak.
The roadside chaos
In peak season people park anywhere along the approach road and walk in. It's disorganised, occasionally ticketed, and adds 10–15 minutes of walking.
Reserved private parking
Some operators offer a reserved parking spot right by the pier as part of the tour booking. It's the single biggest logistics upgrade you can make — you drive in, park, board the boat.
If you're driving from anywhere and taking a boat tour, ask your operator whether this is included or bookable.

Off-season parking
October through May, everything is easy. Public lot is fine. Just don't leave valuables visible in the car.
Two rules
1) Never leave a car in an unmarked spot in July or August — you may be fined or blocked. 2) If your tour includes a reserved spot, take it. Every single time.
